Danya has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UBC, and a Master of Science (Applied) in Speech-Language Pathology from McGill University. She has been working in the Lower Mainland as a registered speech-language pathologist since 2016. While her professional background includes working with all ages, she particularly enjoys the collaboration involved in her sessions with adult clients. Regardless of age or communication issue, she strives to tailor her therapy sessions to each client’s individual interests and needs. She is passionate about helping others improve their communication skills in ways that will have a meaningful, practical impact on their daily lives.
Danya has completed training for stuttering in the Lidcombe Program and the ISTAR Comprehensive Stuttering Program, as well as training in the Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA) approach. She also has a background in editing, and appreciates being exposed to new languages. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going for walks in nature, playing guitar and singing, and spending time with friends and family.
