The position we're hiring for.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Remote (Ontario or BC) · Contract · 12 months · 5–35 hrs / week

Primary responsibilities

  • Consultation, assessment, and treatment of communication difficulties via virtual care
  • Manage your own records — client progress, goal attainment, assessed needs
  • Monitor client progress toward goals and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Actively engage clients to ensure sessions are tailored to their goals

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology
  • License: Registered or eligible to be registered with the regulating college in Ontario or BC
  • Proof of professional liability insurance
  • Computer with good-quality microphone, good webcam, and strong internet
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Courteous, positive, and professional with all staff and clients
  • Committed to providing culturally sensitive and empathic professional care
  • Solid understanding of Canadian culture and Canadian English accent

Nice to have

Previous experience working 1-on-1 with non-disordered / high-functioning adults, and previous experience with accent modification, enunciation, public speaking, professional communication, and/or voice use.
