I've always been fascinated by the ways people connect with one another and how strong communication can influence relationships, confidence, and opportunities in everyday life. Helping people express themselves more clearly and confidently is incredibly rewarding and continues to shape the work I do today.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies and Hispanic Studies from McGill University and a Master of Health Sciences in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Ottawa. Prior to becoming a speech therapist, I spent several years teaching English to non-native English speakers from different parts of the world, working on pronunciation, spoken and written communication, and language learning. My clinical experience includes helping adults rebuild their communication skills following a concussion, brain injury, or stroke.
As someone who speaks English, French, and Spanish (and can manage a bit of Italian when needed!), I've always enjoyed learning languages and experiencing different cultures. I understand firsthand what it feels like to communicate in a language that isn't your first, and I bring that perspective into my work. My approach focuses on practical strategies, individualized feedback, and real-world practice so my clients can build skills that carry over into everyday conversations. Most importantly, I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves while developing greater confidence and clarity in how they communicate.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through hiking, yoga, dance, and whatever new hobby happens to catch my interest! I love travelling, learning languages, trying new recipes, and finding great local restaurants. Exploring new places and cultures has always been a big part of who I am, and I enjoy bringing that curiosity and openness into my work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
