Ivana completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia in 2019, majoring in Speech Sciences and minoring in Psychology; she then completed her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at UBC in 2021, where she participated in research surrounding the identification of language disorders in bilinguals. She is currently registered to practice as an SLP in the province of British Columbia, through the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia.
Ivana has clinical experience across populations; she has spent time working with children under 5 and with school-age children. She also has clinical experience assessing and treating cognitive communication disorders in adults as well as providing structured therapy to adults both virtually and in-person. In terms of specific treatment areas, Ivana has experience working with adults to improve their intelligibility and articulation of speech sounds, as well as helping adults focus on how to improve their communication in the workplace. Ivana values client-centered care above all else, and works hard to collaborate with her clients in achieving their goals.
Outside of her work in speech-language pathology settings, Ivana has experience teaching music and dance to people of all ages. As a music teacher, Ivana has tailored music lessons to support adults in achieving their specific goals in weekly piano and theory lessons, and has supported adults in building confidence to perform in front of others. In her spare time, Ivana enjoys going outside, playing music, and spending time with family.
