Alice is a kindergarten teacher who speaks both Mandarin and English. She used to stutter but now feels that there is something wrong with her pacing and fluency. As a kindergarten teacher some key responsibilities Alice holds are:
Alice was a singer and therefore needed to work on using diaphragmatic breathing when singing to improve the smoothness of her vocals. Alice also required practice using the correct intonation within phrases and conversations.
To address these problems, Alice worked with two of our Speech-Language Pathologists. After 12 sessions, Alice could sing smoother by breathing in at the right moments. She also improved her intonation, improving her ability to converse in different situations.
